What started as a passion project of Dr. Amir Herman is now a solution for every traveler. Having seen firsthand the frustration and anxiety caused when people get sick away from home, Dr. Herman set out to create a reliable, prescription-strength travel medical kit that gives you confidence wherever you go.

Born in Israel and raised in New York, Dr. Amir Herman brings over two decades of medical experience in family medicine, urgent care, and occupational health. Board-certified by both the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Dr. Herman has cared for generations of patients through his long-standing practice in East Northport, New York.

Over the years, Dr. Herman has helped countless patients prepare for travel—offering practical, preventive guidance and treatment for common illnesses encountered abroad. His hands-on experience managing real-world travel-related health concerns inspired his work with ZipMedsRx, where he serves as the supervising physician responsible for reviewing and approving each customer order.

In his role, Dr. Herman ensures that every prescription within ZipMedsRx kits meets the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and medical appropriateness. His oversight gives travelers confidence that their medications are physician-approved and clinically sound—backed by decades of trusted patient care and a deep understanding of what it takes to stay healthy while away from home.

Michael Piampiano, RPh

Dr. Michael Piampiano is an 18-year pharmacist who graduated from St. John’s University in 2007 and has worked in the pharmacy field since 2000. His career spans community and long-term care pharmacy, beginning in major retail chains before transitioning to long-term care and ultimately purchasing Town Drugs of East Northport in 2019. The pharmacy, serving the community for over 30 years, is supported by a healthcare team dedicated to helping patients navigate today’s complex healthcare system. Dr. Piampiano remains committed to patient-centered care, believing that simple solutions often create the greatest impact. It is his mission—and privilege—to serve the community.
